Are they open on the fourth of July??
Excellent food and creative menu offerings. The biscuits were fabulous... Some of the best I've ever had!. Great coffee and fresh squeezed??? OJ This was a great first time experience.
MoreThis was our favorite breakfast in the area! I loved the potatoes, the biscuit, and the pancakes. Everything was super fresh and relatively fast even though we waited a bit for a table.
MoreBreakfast was fantastic, I got the chorizo plate and it was super tasty. The biscuits and jam were also super tasty.
MoreWhile planning out a road trip to Grand Rapids, several people told my wife and I "you HAVE to go to Holland!" I got everybody up early, jumped in the car and we made it to Holland in time for breakfast. While driving through town, my wife searches for breakfast places and this was (with good reason, as I'd soon learn) at the top of that list. We came in on Wed. July 3 and everything was just wonderful. The staff was friendly and inviting, our server was very nice to my children (that goes a long way with me), and perhaps BEST of all, the food is amazing! French toast! Pancakes and eggs! Bacon! Coffee! Even shaped pancakes for kids, which they loved. Thank you for the friendliness and the hospitality, this started our Michigan visit out in the best possible way, and we're already planning a return.
MoreBest brunch in town!
This was sure a great breakfast surprise. It was worth the drive to Washington Square. My husband had the Chicken Apple Hash and I had the Eggs Harper Rose. The restaurant is painted in bright happy colors. The staff were friendly and efficient. Will go there again when I am visiting Holland, Michigan
MoreDelicious biscuits! Server seemed short and rushed so the experience could have been better as a whole. Cute place with a unique menu!
MoreBiscuit was excellent. Free trade coffee, started with banana chocolate walnut yummy coffee cake, ask your server to warm it a bit. Then Eggs Harper Rose, biscuit, onion jam, basted egg, white cheddar and bacon. It was excellent. The service was also spot on
MoreThis establishment just seeps with a whole family's love for food. It's in the names of the dishes in the menu, it's in the flavors and quality of the food, it's literally painted on the walls. The biscuits here are a more dense, cake-style biscuit than the layered, flaky type. They're still delicious though, and are tasty savory with gravy or sweet with homemade jam. In addition to the biscuits, everything else we got was cooked correctly and tasty. The prices are low. The service is attentive. It feels like a small town diner, but the food and decor is more homestyle than line cook. There's heart here, and it shows. I was there on a Saturday at 10 AM, and we only waited ten minutes for a table of two. That's way less than I expected and less than this place deserves. I'd easily wait an hour here for food.
MoreSome of the best breakfast food I’ve ever had! 🥞
Went here for the first time today. It was not extremely busy, but there was a wait for tables, so I ordered to go. I got the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. Biscuits and eggs were great, cooked perfectly. The only negative was the gravy, it may be my personal taste, but it was just weird. It was heavily seasoned with herbs and onions which is not what I was expecting. I prefer a southern style white sausage gravy with my biscuits seasoned with only salt and pepper, so this was a little unusual for me. Service was great and they got me in and out though!
MoreGreat little place! The strawberry jam is the best I've ever had. Can't wait to try more of their breakfast items!
MoreThe Biscuit is a hidden gem in Holland, tucked away from the more well known breakfast eateries like Windmill and Anna's House, but with arguably higher quality food. I've been there a half dozen times or so, and the quality remains constant. A personal favorite are the chicken tacos - enormous chunks of fresh carved avocado take this dish from good to superb. The space is clean, with local art for sale on the walls. Service is always quick. Well worth your time and money.
MoreWent on the recommendation of a friend who said they had the best pancakes he's ever eaten. He wasn't kidding. The granola pancakes were amazing and the sausage on the side was equally delicious. Definitely worth the long wait. The Biscuit will definitely be a regular stop during our visits to the area.
MoreDelicious food and amazing service!
Always a go to for me when in Holland. Everything is delicious and the coffee is the best! Great staff too.
MoreThe breakfast here is super flavorful and not greasy. I've tried both their savory and sweet items, and I've been very happy with my choices. My favorite is the BLT scramble with a biscuit.
MoreThe most delicious breakfast!
This was a neat little place that felt more like eating breakfast at your aunt's house than being at a restaurant. I got an eggs benedict with smoked salmon and roasted tomato that was absolutely delicious. I also had literally the most unassumingly delicious pancake I've ever had in my life. Seriously. The wait staff was friendly and real. For sure a must stop for breakfast while you're in the area.
MoreBlown away by both food and service. Our waitress was super kind and our breakfast was amazing enough that I will return to this town in the future with the wife, and bring her here. They do have a "no outside beverages" policy which we were bummed about. Eh, worth it.
MoreThe Biscuit is my favorite breakfast place. They have the best menu. The service is excellent. It is clean and has a comfortably warm feel.
MoreDisappointed. Creative menu description. Average food. Honestly the biscuits are better at Cracker Barrel and McDonald's. Quaint place. Good service. Not worth the price.
MoreGreat atmosphere, quick service, food looked very appetizing which is always a plus and tasted great!!! Thank you for the first 2018 breakfast out!
MoreExcellent food at an affordable price. Their biscuits and pancakes are fantastic.
MoreBeen here twice, didnt get a seat the first time, the second time we got sat after a short wait(even with open tables) and got our food very quickly. The pancakes weren't the best in my opinion. But they had some very good bacon and eggs. Chocolate milk was the homemade kind and kinda tasted meh. The server was a little forgetful but did a decent job. After receiving the check I was charged $35 for a very small amount of food.
MoreA happy place serving happy breakfasts. The entire store seems to be smiling at you, from the colors of the walls to the artwork, from the smiles at the reception to the smiles of the waitress during the regular stops toping off your coffee. Incredibly well craftef dishes, combining fragrant ingredients with bold but unobtrusive herbs and spices. Biscuits are rich, moist, a bit crumbly, and in a league above your mother's. Combine those with their handmade preserve and you no why I call this place happy.
MoreI'm not one to normally rate but unfortunately we had a very bad experience here. I don't know what their food tastes like because we never got past them not honoring our reservation and being very rude about it. We ended up brunching at Hops instead and they were fantastic!
MoreHorrible service. I called to make a reservation and the person took the information wrote down the wrong day of the week, but the correct date. I showed up on time to my reservation and they told me that they made it for yesterday and that I could be on the list for a hour and a half wait. Really great experience for my birthday. You are awful.
MoreGood, hearty and healthy breakfast for early travelers.
Cannot remember the order but I do remember I was very disappointed. What's all the hype? Save your money
MoreBreakfast was amazing. My waffle melted in my mouth and tasted like it was made out of love. Can't wait to come back.
MoreReally good. Get the chorizo and eggs tacos.
The food was good, but service was horrible. Our server, Alicia, was very rude to my father and I the minute we sat down. We barely even got a hello, she never came back to ask how our food was tasting, seemed to have an attitude with us the entire visit, and said, “There ya go,” when dropping the check off... That was it. I am also a server, so maybe I am more critical for this reason. I know that everyone has bad days, but even on my bad days, I’ve never treated my customers like they were an inconvenience. To sum it up, we enjoyed our food, but if we ever come back we’ll be asking for a different server.
MorePhenomenal breakfast! I always bring friends visiting from out of town here and they love it. The prices are more than fair for the high quality service and meal. I would consider The Biscuit a hidden gem. If they moved to a more open/bigger area I'm sure the place would be busy more than it already is. "I am so glad you brought me here. This is amazing." -Joe 'living meme' Van Dine
MoreI love The Biscuit!!! If there was a ten star I would give it. They have the best coffee. The best fruit dish. No melons. Always berries, pineapple, and right now there is kwiwi. Different food dishes for breakfast. Food is high quality. They have a discount if you use cash. The servers are friendly and amazing. I could go on and on. This is a place you must try!!!
MoreBreakfast here is always very good. The whole Washington Square area is nice to visit. I had the biscuits and gravy and my friends had a waffle and a white cheddar bacon biscuit, that was delicious. This is the best biscuits and gravy in West Michigan, once I found them I quit looking. All the food is good and the service is great, we'll be back.
MoreGreat presentation wonderful food great service wonderful management truly enjoyed our experience look forward to returning
MoreThe biscuit is absolutely fantastic place. The food was great and the service was spot on. Cool little place that delivers big flavor. I will definitely go back for breakfast. Call ahead if you can cause the wait is a little salty but well worth it. Donymt cheat yourself.
MoreThis is a great little breakfast place. The staff is so friendly and all of the food is fresh. I like that they source a lot of the ingredients from local vendors. I got the nor'easter scramble and it was delicious. They also have a nice kid's menu.
MoreWaited for 30 minutes, which is a sign of how good it is. It was definitely worth the wait. Had the breakfast tacos with avacado and a side of potatoes. Fantastic! Don't be discouraged by the wait. People cycle through pretty quickly.
MoreOur reservation was not kept and we were unbelievably told they didn’t care. I said that it might result in a bad review and I was told “that really doesn’t concern me”. Just shocked at the poor communication skills and negative attitude.
MoreMy friends and I came in for a meal on a Saturday. The food was amazing. We all greatly enjoyed our selection. The wait staff were decent. Had an unpleasant experince waiting on a table. Would recommend calling ahead.
MoreI love breakfast. It's my favorite meal. Thus I tend to love breakfast joints. The Biscuit is now one of those places I love to stop at. This is a Great little place! The coffee is phenomenal. They offer heavy cream with it too. I ordered some Irish/Dublin egg scramble. It was so good. I got the millet & flax toast. So good. They serve you homemade strawberry jam. It's literally one of the best jams I've ever had. Can't wait to try more of their breakfast items!
MoreFirst time there. I had the Chicken-Apple hash and my son had one of the Scrambles (can't remember the name). Excellent food and excellent service! Will definitely be back!
MoreNot overly large portion sizes, good coffee, and the homemade biscuits do the restaurant's name justice!
MoreFirst time here ever and all I can say was WOW! Wish I would have known about this gem long ago . . . Really a great place for breakfast, Spanish Bennie was AMAZING!!! Great service and wonderful staff, will be back again soon. The scones looked so delicious I had no more room left due the portions being so generous!!
MoreThis cute little breakfast place had amazing food! The Mediterranean scramble was great, the fruit was fresh, and the red potatoes were deliciously seasoned and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was busy on a Saturday (about a 20 minute wait) but well worth it. Bright colors and a unique and happy vibe.
MoreWe've never been disappointed at The Biscuit. Great, fresh food, unique dishes or traditional fare--either way, it's yummy! Friendly, considerate wait- staff and a good space in which to enjoy breakfast together with others.
MoreCame here with my girlfriend for breakfast a couple of time and we had a great time, I highly recommend this place.
MoreWhat a great small local place for a freash breakfast. Was clean and the staff was great. Food was amazing! When we left it was packed! You know its good when its off the beaten path and crowded.
